Hunt’s injury is prolonged, and many are worried. But none worried as much as Beth. Earl arrives from Chicago, takes Hunt’s place, and assigns the men to some tough challenges while Hunt lies in the hospital. After two weeks, with Hunt still in a coma, Earl is forced to assign Ace to run the Denver office so he can return to Chicago. Hunt’s old friend, Charles Crawford, receives word during prayer that a close friend is near death in Denver. Not knowing who the old friend is, Charles heads for Denver and, with divine help, performs a miracle. The deputies return from a mission with a woman who was rescued from a cold-blooded killer. During one of Earl’s visits, he meets this woman and begins to fall in love.
