Charles must contend with a young man he had fired. In anger, the young man returns and shoots the General Manager, Brett Haire, Charles’ son-in-law. The young man escapes the prison and hunts for Charles with plans to shoot him on sight. Charles helps U.S. Marshal Ben Johnson search for the bandits after the robbery of his San Francisco food store. An unknown relative is exposed to Charles, and the cousin is being held and worked as a slave. Charles aids in his release from bondage, and the cousin insists on returning to China to bring his family to America. It’s a six-month voyage and a difficult decision for Charles to make.
