Charles settles a problem in Denver with an angry neighbor over a ranch purchased at auction. Cathal, the man Charles brought back from England, asks Sally Peyton, the receptionist at the railroad construction company, for her hand in marriage. That sets off a rapid chain of events with little time to waste. Charles receives word that men are sabotaging the train tracks in Montana Territory, and he travels there to find and eliminate those responsible. Charles and Judith’s daughter, Judy, wants to enroll in college. Charles and Judith take her to two colleges for admission tours before deciding which college would be best. Charles meets new people at the college, and a couple travels with Charles to decide if running a hotel would be what they would enjoy. Charles finds out that the Army is recruiting me to build an Army of men to drive the Indians from their land. Charles plans a trip to Washington to ask if he can buy the land and give it to the Indians. A decision that could bankrupt Charles.
